At ´ºÓêÖ±²¥, our philosophy to building ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ equity centers on a strategic approach that leverages our funder, advocate, and provider roles to maximize impact in our three focus areas of Food & Nutrition, Chronic Disease Prevention & Management, and Supportive Housing.
However, we understand that in addition to our three Focus Areas, there are many ways to support community health and build ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ equity. As such, ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ created the ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Equity Fund to respond to timely and critical projects that fall outside our Focus Areas, yet support the health and well-being of communities disproportionately impacted by health disparities.
´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Equity Fund
Within the ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Equity Fund, ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ will consider the following:
- Projects that fall outside of our Focus Areas, yet strive to address health disparities. Projects must clearly demonstrate a connection to health, as evidenced by research and/or data.
- Projects that prioritize communities and/or neighborhoods disproportionately impacted by health disparities, as evidenced by research and/or data.
- Timely and critical projects that if not addressed will contribute to worsening health disparities impacting high-need communities.
´ºÓêÖ±²¥ Equity Fund projects will be considered contingent on funding availability, as our main priority will continue to be funding projects that fall within our Focus Areas.
